I have made many attempts in the past to totally relax my mind and body and failed. My brain would not stop thinking about things that needed to be done or wondering the the kids were doing.... However, this attempt was much different because I was successful in clearing my mind and thinking of absolutely nothing. I listened to the exercise 4 times before I was able to relax without anticipating the next step. I can get used to this. If I was able to unwind in 10 minutes, imagine what I can do in 30 minutes, each day.

ReplyDeleteI totally agree with you, when trying to engage in such exercise I couldn't even come to relaxation point. I have tried twice and realized it was not working for me. I guess I need to try in one more time then, 3rd time is always a charm.

Hello Deborah, I too understand what it is like to not be able to relax, especially my mind. We tried some meditation exercises during a stress mangement seminar last term and I seemed to be the only one not able to relax. A few years back I was able to relax after Yoga, but that was almost falling asleep and not letting my mind relax. I look forward to attempting this exercise and to your future blogs. ~Struck
